Beautiful in their simplicity.

First, what must be close to the definitive response to any enthusiasm for a return to capital punishment, especially from those who find themselves agreeing with champion fascistolibertarian Peter Hitchens on the utilitarian virtue of killing the odd innocent citizen in the name of deterrence.

Second, John Brissenden’s reply to ‘Wendy J’ on Justin’s excellent contribution to the debate over whether a dress code which somewhere around 0.06% of the population follow is more important than climate change.
